Harvex Agromart Inc. is a full-service farm supply business serving Eastern Ontario from our four locations. We proudly provide crop inputs, agronomic expertise, and services to our loyal customer base, supporting local farms with the products and knowledge they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Operator heavy equipment – forklift, loader with top tip bucket and regular bucket
• To handle, store and distribute products for the Agromart Partner’s retail businesses – fertilizer and other crop-input products
• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment required to operate the terminal storage facilities
• Follow safe operating procedures and participate in the Environmental Health and Safety Programs
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions, work at heights, work flexible hours during weekdays and weekends, including overtime
• Light repairs on various pieces of equipment
• Work with customers, truckers, and employees in a courteous and professional manner
• General help around the facility and other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Driver’s license
• Good communication skills
• Working at heights training
• Good computer skills to operate scale systems
• Works well within a small team or independently

A competitive hourly wage and training will be provided.

This is a permanent full-time position within Harvex Agromart Inc. – position to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Safely operate vehicle as required
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and comply with rules, regulations, and company policies and procedures
• Ensure product and documents are delivered accurately
• Load and unload bagged product using a variety of mechanisms. Some heavy lifting and physical labour required
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Seasonality of the role requires long hours during the Spring and possibly into Summer (90+ hrs/week), managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Perform all tasks in a polite and professional manner with excellent customer service
• Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Driver’s license
• Forklift, propane license (asset)
• Agricultural experience an asset but not required

This is a seasonal position (averaging 1-3 months) with competitive wages.
